Information Collection and Use

• YR does not sell, rent, or otherwise disseminate e-mail addresses, except when necessary to provide a YR product or service.
  
• YR automatically receives and records in our server logs information such as your unique Internet protocol (IP) address, cookie information, and any requests for pages/resources from our servers.
  
• YR uses collected information to fulfill your requests for information about YR products and services, to provide YR or partner company products and services, to contact you, to conduct research, and to provide anonymous usage statistics to ensure a quality level of online service.
  

Information Sharing and Disclosure

IAR does not rent, sell, share, or otherwise disseminate personal information about you with other people or companies except in the following situations:

• YR may provide personal information to partner companies that provide products and services on behalf of YR. Partner companies do not have the right to share your personal information outside the partner company unless otherwise directed in a confidentiality agreement between you and the partner company.
  
• When you resond to or add a comment in an online discussion or forum; discussion and forum posts are only visible to YR members
  
• To respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
  
• If we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical or mental safety of any person, violations of YR’s definition of acceptable use, or as otherwise required by law. This may include providing server log information to Internet Service Providers to prevent and/or stop misuse or abuse of YR’s Internet resources, including bandwidth, server resources, and other hardware and software.
  
• Personal information may be transferred if IAR agrees to manage or to be managed by an outside party, association, or entity.

Sharing and Disclosure of REALTOR® Member Information

"REALTOR® members” are licensed real estate agents that are members of a local, state, and NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. If you are not a REALTOR® member, this section does not apply to you.

• YR may provide an association membership list to parties that request such information. This list may contain the following information: first and last name, office name, office address, office fax number and office telephone number. This list will NOT contain your e-mail address, home address, home telephone number, social security number, real estate license number, or other personal information not generally available to the public.
  
• As one of many membership benefits, YR maintains an online membership directory of its members. By default, a member’s first and last name, office name, office address, office fax, office telephone, and e-mail address are included in this directory.
  
• YR does not rent, sell, share, or otherwise disseminate e-mail addresses of its members except when necessary to provide a YR product or service.

Cookies

A cookie is information that a web site puts on your hard drive so that the web site can remember information about you at a later time. The IAR uses cookies to record your web site preferences.

• YR may set and access cookies on your computer
  
• Cookies may be used to provide you with efficient access to features or services you have previously requested
  
• Cookies may be used to verify your identity and to provide security when making purchases online
  

Confidentiality and Security

• We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.

• YR may update this privacy policy at any time with or without notice to you.
  
• All changes and updates to this policy will be posted on the YR website.
